Been using Airtel for a yr. Good quality of service. No breakdowns so far. Decent plans. They installed everything in 2 days. Online payment options. I keep the phone disconnected though. They have some really irritating automated promotion calls.

I am using Airtel for more than a year. Never faced a down time. Customer care is extremely help full. Speed is good. Price is optimum. PS>> I am using a limited usage plan.

I have been using BSNL for the last 4 years now and only once there was a prolonged issue with that setup - some larger issue which was beyond the control of BSNL. Aside from that, ZERO problems. And price-wise nobody can match BSNL. Only issue with them is that - when you want to set it up for the first time, it could be a bit cumbersome. Once it is setup, there are hardly any issues - ever. Their unlimited 750 Home plan is the best. Bandwidth wise, no complaints again. Even though they say it is 256kbps for the 750 plan, no chance to complain. My suggestion would be - if you can get BSNL, take it. Else start looking for others.

Of course BSNL doesn't even have broadband cables laid out in many parts of Baner while Tata Indicom, Reliance and Airtel do. However all of those suffer from atrocious outages in most parts of Baner. I have experienced it in my workplace.

+1, and the plans have upgraded now. You usually get something like 512kbps for the equivalent to 750 plan.

I have Reliance Broadband (wired). The speeds and bandwidth are good. And things work good most of the times.

The only problem is the customer service. It sucks big time. When things go wrong, expect to spend many hours frustrating over it and calling them up many times. But I think that's the case with most of the vendors.

I have been using Tata indicom wireline broadband's Flash 256 scheme for past 8 months or so (Baner area). Unlimited download with 256kbps in daytime and 1.5 Mbps in the night and Sunday! The service is good, downtime is pretty low and they have good customer care support. Charges are 1100+ taxes (1213/- pm). If its about download or watching videos online in the night, go for it! Checkout broadband 2.0 schemes on http://www.tataindicombroadband.in
