Khus Curtains typically used in summers to counter the heat and get the room temprature down. Any help in identifying any shops/areas where I can get these khus curtains would be highly appreciated. |

See my post: http://forpune.com/questions/1458/where-can-i-find-chik-curtain-blinds-bamboo-cane-curtain-in-pune When I was around mandai market, I did ask around a bit (frankly I was in a hurry so didn't ask in detail), there were a few basket and other bamboo product sellers on the road. They didn't have it but said they can get it made. But I was not very sure since they didn't seem to know about it well. The price they quoted was also high (40-45 Rs. per sq. feet). I didn't negotiate or spend time on it. Do post here if you get any information on this |

khus curtains are not very popular here and if you do get it, it'll be pricy. Its basically used as a decorative item or something of that sort and not to keep the heat away. So if you really need it, get it arranged from the shopkeeper who you mention in the above post. psstt...get one for me too ;D |
I have seen Readymade khus curtains in some peth area, its 2 years back i had seen and i had inquired the rate in that particular shop also, which also i dont remember now... but was not very expensive., look into peth areas you will find there.... if i come across khus curtains again i will let you know.
