I recently test drove the petrol variant and also feel the car is underpowered, also found that no aux in a car with 7 Lac for the top end was absurd. I was expecting bluetooth and that wasnt present either, VW just focuses on driving items and the drive was fine and felt safe. There was also a 4 month wait time for delivery that i was not ready to wait for. So i decided to go for the Skoda Fabia instead How was Skoda Fabia?

Haven't driven the latest Polo Model, but simply love the Volkswagen Cars. Have driven 2 different models (VW Passat and Skoda Laura) for over 10 years and they are great. Also, from what I have read about the new Polo, it shouldn't disappoint! I also got a chance to visit the VW factory at Chakan Pune a few months back when the first Polo rolled-off the assembly line: http://aparanjape.wordpress.com/2009/12/13/the-first-polo-rolls-off-the-volkswagen-pune-plant/ I have seen the Polo upclose and the styling/exteriors/interiors look good. The pricing is great. Hope to test drive it soon and post a review. At 1.2 lit 75 BHP, the present Petrol variant available in India might be fine for Indian Road conditions, but a little underpowered on highways. I am hoping that VW would launch a more powerful engine (that is already available in EU) and Auto Transmission soon! I recently test drove the 1.2L Petrol Variant. Validated my observation above... The car is a bit underpowered.

I recently test drove new polo 1.2 and following are my observations about the car:
+ve - I liked the looks of the car (a sporty looks). - The car body is best in the same segment cars. - The car has good safety features.
-ve: - The car is under powered for sure. - I found the clutch on the harder side. - Engine noise was more than expected.
I am not sure why they introduced a car with 3 cylinders.
