Thinking of buying a second hand car. Can anyone suggest any acquaintance (preferably) who is willing to sell or a good place where second hand cars can be bought. Please don't suggest Mahindra's First Choice, there rates are too high for second sale cars.

I couldn't get satisfactory answer and I did manage to get a car offline. So closing the question. Carwale is a good option although, hence marking it as an answer.

I've heard good things about http://carwale.com - people who used it to sell their cars found good responses from there (in some cases better than newspaper classified). Don't know of people who used to buy from them.

Have you tried any of the online used-car portals? Would like to hear experiences about them.

I have bought secondhand cars from my friendly neighbourhood garagewalla. He can vouch for the car as it is usually one of his customer's and you can always go back to him if there is a problem.
