There have been many reports in the past 2-3 years about TGIF opening in Pune, but nothing definitive as yet. Anyone has any insights?

Also have you heard of any other American Casual Dining Restaurants opening in Pune?

[I am aware of 2 other chains - Ruby Tuesday has a presence Mumbai. Chilis has a presence in Bangalore]

Hard Rock Cafe's there :-) (in Koregaon Park). They are American Casual Dining with non-casual prices ;-). Their food is good and drinks are better. I had the steak there ... it was the best in town. Their non-veg starter combo (wings, rings, fritters etc) is also good.

BTW, Chillis has opened up in Hiranandani, Powai, Mumbai and TGIF in Infiniti Mall Andheri.

Yes..I am aware of HRC. Like it. Food is good - though agree, a little pricey.

If you go to Lavasa, there is an American Diner on the Waterfront. They serve authentic american food - burgers, fries, sodas, etc.

The servings are pretty large and the price is reasonable. (approx Rs. 60 for a veg burger)

The decor has also been done in the 60's / 70's style with bright red, leather seating, memorabilia and old film posters.

If you don't care about the calories, thats one decent place to grab a bite in Lavasa. Definitely worth checking out.
