Kolhapur/Panhala are a good close getaway from Pune. Haven't been there in many years. Looking for some information about good hotels in Kolhapur/Panhala. Specifically,if you have recent stay experience at these hotels?
Also any other recommendations? |

Valley View Grand, Panhala is a good resort. It is on expensive side. We had been in off season and hence found it worth the cost. The food was ok. This place has a very good view. I love the bench on the edge from where one can watch the dense jungle from top. Watch and hear the birds while you sip your morning tea. Couple of good points to visit at a walking distance. This place use to be famous film personality V Shantaram's bungalow. |

Recently stayed at Hotel Pearl Kolhapur. Decent business hotel. Good restaurant. |

Went to Hotel Valley View Grand, Panhala for dinner. Great location. Also checked out the rooms..looked pretty decent. |

On the highway connecting Kolhapur and Ratnagiri is a place called Amba, about 65 km from each, IIRC. That has a couple of nice resorts as well (I've stayed in both): Disclaimer: Hornbill is owned by a cousin of mine. |
