Is there a good car servicing work shop or car mechanic near Aundh. I haev a santro which for last few days has been making some vibrating noises as if some parts need to be screwed tightly.

I know one of them is a front speaker but there is some noise from the front as well (near the engine). So need a reliable mechanic/workshop which can find out the problem without charging through the roof for parts that don't need replacement.

Ideally I am looking for some place within 3-4 kms of Aundh.

Kothari Hyundai (one of the authorized dealers) has a workshop near Aundh Road, off Bhau Patil Road. It's in the lane right next to the Pune IT Park.

There is a place called Shetty on the narrow road between the Aundh Rajiv Gandhi bridge and Rohan Nelay. I've had good results with them for service and maintenance.

My experienced with showrooms are they cost lot more. Shetty service center in Aundh is very good. Genuine and good service.

Shetty Garage was useless. I took my car there twice and they charged me a total 5K but still didn't solve the problem. The first time I had specifically asked them to check the battery since I had trouble starting the car in the mornings. They said everything was fine and the very next day the battery conked off!

The orignal problem I went to them for was with the brakes First time they said the noise from the brakes was really nothing. The second time for the same problem they cleaned the brakes and changed one cylinder and guess what after 2 weeks we went to Mahabaleshwar and the brake pads broke. Thankfully we were very close to a petrol pump so got help.

I will never go to Shetty garage again! Better to pay a little more to the dealers than have trouble on the road when driving with your family
