Our apartment complex has started mixing borewell water with the PMC water supply and seems like there is no solution to the problem at this time. We have an aquagaurd which seems ineffective. So does that mean I need to a get an RO installed (Reverse Osmosis)?

I am getting mixed comments about RO against borewater (some say the water ruins the membrane). If anyone has experienced this situation, please tell me how you have solved the problem and if RO is the option.

please (also) tell me which brand is best. Thanks in advance for your time.

RO is your only option. We have Kent RO (7 liter capacity). Don't go for smaller capacity ones as RO flows are much slower than standard UV filters. 3 liters is next to useless.

Kent has been working fine, water taste has improved dramatically. Cost ~14k at Vijay Sales. Worth it IMHO. They told us that it is specifically meant for bore water.
