Can anyone share their experience of using the wings radio cab service within the city. i want to use it for daily commuting between home and office.

Is the service dependable?

Reasonably good experience... do show up on time for early morning airport commutes.

Though not very good for last minute travel. (tried to book them at last minute once.. took them 45 min, even when I was in the heart of the city).

Note - agree that they might be a bit expensive for daily commute, but you might be able to negotiate a better rate for long-term / daily commute requirements.

Have used them on a few occasions. Mainly for airport pick and drop, very reliable. Oflate though they don't seem to have enough cabs to cater to the requests, so you are giving a wait time for around an hour. Similar service from traveltime also exist..they are good too. And since they aren't that well known, their service time is less than 30 minutes.

Have used them on many many occasions almost always for early morning flights. Very reliable. Used to be 15 mins early - lately arrive just about on time. Could be too expensive for daily commute unless money is not an issue.

Unlike a few months ago - there is also more competition (I forget the name of the competing company). But more the merrier I guess.

For all my cab needs so far, I've invariably used Wings Cab. So far I've found them to be reliable. Though one thing you may want to note... The fare is Rs. 16/km point to point, and AC is included. But majority of the time, unless you ask for the AC to be switched on, the driver will let it remain off! The probable reason IMO is that since the cabs are individually owned and operated on a fixed monthly charges being paid to Wings, the drivers try and save where they can.

And as far as being on time is concerned, except for one occasion when they were late by 10-15 mins, they have always reached me atleast 10-15 mins in advance of the time I'd specified. And yes, they do have shortages during peak travel times. I've had situations with them a few times when they were unable to take my booking as they were not having any available cabs. So if you have firm plans and traveling during peak hours, do book well ahead.

Overall recommend them.

Haven't used it myself, but heard from a couple of people that it is good/reliable.

However, these are people who used it for one-time stuff (like ride to airport, or back home from a late night party). Haven't heard of anybody who's used it on a daily basis.

Wouldn't this be a tad expensive for daily commuting?
