I have been an Apple user in India for over 4 years now. In my opinion, I find Picatype to be one of the best folks for all your Apple needs, from repair to buying products. Not sure if they are the cheapest, but they are fairly reliable in Pune. Here is a google map for Picatype. It's right in the lane opposite Nandu Parathas: http://bit.ly/6OvxCw Don't ever go to the store right near Pune station, which is serviced by two Bengali brothers [nothing against Bengalis, just don't remember their names]. I think the store is called Rahul Commerce and also has another office behind Nandus. Why should one not go to the store right near Pune station ? You have faced difficulties with service or that it is not an apple / mac dealer (and thus is a wrong store to go to)

They are a apple/mac dealer but are out to rip you off. They supposedly didn't have OS CDs to help me fix my mac, asked me to get mine, which were unfortunately scratched. They then tell me I would need to spend 10K to buy the latest OS, which I didn't need, just so that they could test my machine! I found it utterly ridiculous. All this was told to me with a straight face and no shame whatsoever.

Imagine is the premium reseller (same as mumbai) here is the list of all distributors http://bit.ly/8GdpVD If you are looking for a outlet then I have seen one outside this mall in kalyani nagar (big cinemas, with mc donalds on ground floor and kfc in front of it). If you are looking to buy one, then try getting it through a college going student as you would get 10% discount. |

Imagin store at AdLabs , KalayaniNagar is Authorized dealer for Apple. we have bought around 3-4 Macs from there and it has been good experience. They have also opened new Shop at Kakade Mall. There is newly opened iStore on F.C road as well. |

Staples in Baner is authorized Apple/ Mac reseller. Their salespeople are quite helpful too. |
