There is a lot of activity in digging in the river bed near Kalyaninagar bridge (on the Kalyaninagar side). I want to know if a new river bank is being created so the old one can be developed by builders (I hope not).

How does one find out what the PMC plan for doing this is? (Please provide actionable information of how to go about getting actual information rather than just a link to the PMC website homepage)

Thanks

Every construction that is undertaken by Municipal corporations, government, pwd , JNU etc has a small board that explains the construction phase, period, amount involved and the authority name along with a contact point...

Take a stroll and find out this board.. best case.. file an RTI with the ward office.. since it is Kalyani Nagar it should be the Sangamwadi Ward office [Nr Hotel Madhuban on Dhole Patil Rd] or the Vadgaon Sheri ward office.

Also you can look out for the pune municipal corporation website [Not so very frequently updated] for relevant information -> http://www.punecorporation.org/pmcwebn/index.aspx

Hope this helps...

This is the kind of information that is usually found in the Pune Governance Wiki. Or at least, if the information is not there right now, you'll find whom to contact. Or at least, the "regulars" at that site would be the right people to talk to about this issue.
