Where can I find an authentic Punjabi dhaba (with cots and all) near Pune, preferably near Viman Nagar? |

I doubt there is anything like a Dhaba in Viman Nagar, you would find dhaba's only on highways with that type of structure... a much closer to what you are looking for is at Shivaji Nagar.. The Pride hotel [Opposite to Police Ground] has its restaurant on the first floor and the evenings they have the ambience like a dhaba with sitting on cots, punjabi and live music played and so on... There is a Bibi da dhaba nr Dehu road if you want to try... or the Punjabi Spice nr wagholi which has good punjabi food, but no cots.. Thanks, I will surely try Punjabi Spice... :)

There is a place named 'Punjabi Dhaba' in Viman Nagar. There are no cots and similar. But food is authentic Punjabi. I doubt you will ever get any negative review about this place. It's awesome place. Menu is good and not that costly. Thanks Buddy... But, I have been to Punjabi Dhaba so many times. I know the food is great and the owner is a jolly person too. But, I want a dhaba like "Veer Da Dhaba" which was earler on Mumbai-Pune Highway near Balewadi. It is shut down now but the food, ambience and the punjabi music there was simply awesome. I m looking for similar dhaba nearby Viman Nagar.

There is no authentic Punjabi Dhaba in Pune. Restaurants serving Punajabi Cuisine, yes, or some placed maquerading as a dhaba, maybe, but no genuine dhaba.
