Some kebabs at the Season's Hotel, Aundh are also good. Tareef, Aundh has some good kebabs.

+1 for Taareef in Aundh, next to Pulse

+1 for Tareef. Their Murg Makrana, Raan, Chaaps and Saundhe Aaloo are amazing.

Sigree at the end of Dhole Patil Road is not really a kebabs place, but they do serve good kebabs which are placed on mini-grills at your table. Combined with a nice ambience and good non-kebab food.

Great Kabab Factory in Radisson Kharadi is a great place for kebabs. They are a chain and so quite consistent in their quality and taste. They charge around Rs 699 for the full meal with unlimited kebabs and food. Rates might change on weekends or holidays though. Presently open only for dinner.

For kathi kebabs, Kareems (earlier Olympia) on East Street (near Victory theatre) is IMO the best. This earlier used to be a tiny place run by an Irani family, but now has been taken over by the ever-expanding Kareems chain.

Sigree's outdoor barbeque-n-grill in evenings is also good. I think they give 12 kebabs and buffet food for some fixed price.

Update: Had the veg kebabs for the first time at Great Kabab Factory last night. They were out of this world. (Psst ... some were in fact better than non-veg kebabs.)

Wow. I always thought that taking veg people to a kebab place is a waste of time. Will have to rethink; now have to visit Great Kebab Factory...

BBQ Nation is my favourite for diverse starters. They have Indian, Lebanese, African etc. etc. and they keep changing their starters menu.

(14 Dec '09, 16:31) Subhojit Roy

I've grown bored of BBQ Nation now. They just don't change their stgarters. Once you have been there 7-8 times, their food starts to get monotonous. Also, the quality of their starters is not as good as say Tareef or Sigree or Great Kabab Factory.

Forgot to mention that in case you consider Chicken Satay as a "kebab" of Singapore origin :), you could get some decent samples at All Stir Fry. However, my gripe about this dish in All Stir Fry is that, they give a very miniscule quantity for almost 250 bucks a dish! Disappointing, though taste is good.

Tried some kebabs in Kareem's on Dhole Patil Road yesterday (right beside Zamu's). Found them quite good. Except that their menu/taste etc. all are similar to Tareef in Aundh :). Their setup on Dhole Patil road is tiny and probably not a great place for sit-in-dining, but mainly good for takeaways. They have branches in two other places in Pune - FC Road (beside Koyla) & Camp. Dunno exact locations for Camp.

In Camp, they are on East Street, where Olympia Kathi Kebab used to be. This place is near Victory theatre, Kayani, Kings, Baghban etc.

BTW, Tareef was Kareems for a short while :-). IP hijacking?

(02 Feb '10, 09:01) Ankur P

Yes the owner of Kareem's told me that Tareef was Kareem's for a short while. I remember that too. Maybe this can be coined as cook hijacking :).

Kapila Kathi Kebab on Dhole Patil Road. There's a small tempo converted to stall, recently modified :) Very good taste and cost around Rs.60~70 per kebab.

Up-n-Above (Chandani Chowk) is not much known for kebabs; but they have some good types of kebabs, worth trying.

Definitely Baagbans on East Street is pretty good. Their Tangdi kebabs are the best in Pune. Also I would recommend pride of hyderabad (opp. Geeta Society)
