I am looking for a responsible, mature person who can manage/edit/write for a Hindi webzine. Following are the expectations:

Responsibility: You will be working for an online Hindi webzine, which publishes primarily on technology, politics and socio-economic issues. You would be responsible for the magazine and would have to ensure its smooth, regular and timely publishing. You would share responsibility for determining content of the magazine, plan and frequently write articles and news items yourself.

Location: You are a Pune based person. Candidate would work from home with occasional meetings with the managing editor and is expected to have a personal high speed internet connectivity and a cell-phone connection.

Candidate profile: Graduate, preferably from a Journalism college/university. Fresh graduates can also apply. Incumbent must have good understanding of online publishing. He should be able to type well in Unicode Hindi (any keyboard format) and should be able to communicate with authors and others in chaste Hindi.

Primary tasks would involve: * Generating "original" content * Editing and proof reading of online/offline material in Unicode Hindi for grammatical and typographical errors, errors in punctuation, consistency and formatting. * Verifying, maintaining, publishing of online and offline content * Networking with authors to get articles written on decided topics and manage their work * Working with the Managing editor to decide on topics to be covered and arrange for the required publication material with respect to the deadlines * Translate material from English to Hindi
