Thrs a toy store at Aundh between Baner fata and Parihar Chowk by the name 'Bonsai'. Its right next in the building to Ozone mall and another landmark is Pizza Hut next doors. Dont know the idea about your meaning of reasonable rates when it comes to toys, but these guys have got lots of toys :) Get me a hot wheels car, Thanks :)

In addition to Bonsai, this is what we try:

  • Nearest Crossword (yes, it has toys and games as well as books)
  • Nearest Shoppers Stop
  • Odyssey
  • Landmark
  • Small mom-and-pop "novelty" stores on every corner usually have a collection of Indian toys.
  • Various stores on Laxmi Road (but haven't gone there for toys in 6 years, I think)

If you're in or near Baner, try Kids Mart (same building as The Great Punjab, or near ICICI Bank). Good range of toys and kids' books, and decent pricing.

By the way, a thumbs-down to Bonsai -- I find them overpriced, and the service has been poor in my experience.

As Navin mentioned, you can usually get plenty of toys at the "novelty" stores... One such store on Baner Road is "Priyam". Good place also for kids' stationery needs -- notebooks, chart paper, stuff they need for art and craft classes, etc.

If you are specifically looking for kids trikes and bikes, Porwals on Laxmi Road is quite a good destination to visit. I got one for my kid from there only.
