I've an WL 1,2,3 status reservation in 17018 Rajkot Exp (AC2) from Pune to Surat for mid May. Reservation was done on 21 Feb. Anybody having experience travelling this train on this segment from Pune, do you think this will get confirmed easily well in time before journey? Also I checked and find there is lot of Tatkal quota on this train. Is it possible/allowed to confirm a WL ticket using tatkal quota? Similary I've return tickets in AC3 from Surat to Pune in same train (17017) the week after above, reserved again on 21-Feb, and in WL 7,8,9 status. What do you think about chances of it getting confirmed as well? |

Guys, I found a very good site to answer exactly the question I asked here. And from there I am getting the confidence that all my W/L seats will get confirmed! For everybody's benefit, here is what you need to do if you want to predict confirmation chances of your own ticket on Indian Railways. 1) Go to http://indiarailinfo.com 2) Click on the PNR forum Tab from the various tabs on the list 3) Once in PNR forum, enter your 10 digit PNR in the provided text box and click the "Post PNR for Prediction/Analysis" button next to it. 4) It will bring up a window, will fetch details of your PNR, and once you click the Post button, it will create a blog post with details of your PNR (your actual PNR no will be partly masked for your privacy). You may want to save the link to this page for later tracking. 5) Next other members of this site will predict, based on their experience, if the given PNR will get confirmed on not. All such predictions will be added to your 'blog' post. 6) Against each prediction, you will see the prediction success rate of the member providing the prediction. A summary of predictions will also appear at top of your 'blog' post. Hope that helps other members! Happy travelling :) |

Just wanted to let you guys know that for my PUNE-ST leg, I have so far had 2 berths get confirmed from the 4 I had. So it does looks like the remaining 2 will also get confirmed in time. As for return leg, no change in status, and any experience about that is still being solicited!
