What is the difference between Dhulivandan (Day after Holi) and Rangpanchami?

If essentially both the days are celebrated by playing colours, how are they different?

Why certain people follow Dhulivandan and why certain people follow Rangpanchami. I see Rangpanchami being celebrated mainly in Maharshtra and Madhya Pradesh. How was this tradition set?
