Almost all 4-star and 5-star hotels organize Christmas parties with elaborate christmas dinners and kids parties. Dinners in 5-star hotels are fairly expensive (between 1500 - 2000 rs. per person).

We went to Hotel Deccan Rendezvous last year to enjoy a good holiday meal. It was fantastic (turkey, glue wine, pies, mash potato, etc.). They also had vegetarian options. If I remember correctly, the dinner didn't cost more than 400 - 500 rs. per person. We loved it.

Ishanya mall has a big Christmas tree and a party for kids on Christmas day. If you want to have a Christmas tree to decorate (in your house), there are a couple of places in Aundh (Vaibhav General Stores near Bremen circle - Information Courtsey - Meeta Kabra) where you can find them. I still have to go there and check it out.

Hope this helps.

You might consider buying a REAL Christmas tree for your home. It will serve the dual purpose of brightening up your Christmas as well as give a tree a home. I have a Christmas tree in my balcony which is now "huge" for my balcony and can be easily decorated :).

I think Vividha Stores on DP Road should also have some Christmas decorations. I have not been there myself but saw it while driving past.

+1 for this suggestion. We bought a little christmas tree about 6 years ago and planted it in our terrace. It was about 2 feet high when we got it, and now it stands over 12 feet tall. Yes, in our terrace. Needless to say, we decorate it ourselves for Christmas (and Diwali, WTH!).

I like your idea of decorating and loving all kinds of trees on all festivals and occassions :)!

Where can I get a real Christmas tree?

For christmas trees and decorations: 1. MG Road: D'Furtado or D'Mello shops in the lane opposite to Bata Shop/Chowk 2. Baner: Priyam near FoodBazaar. Priyam is much cheaper than the 2 at MG Road.

Checkout some of the local family/sports clubs (You, or one of your friends will need to have a membership). Most of them have good Chritmas Parties...including special ones for kids. (They also have parties for Diwali, Dandiya, etc.)

The PYC Club in Deccan Gymkhana Pune has a kids special party from 5-8pm on Dec 25th.
