Dorabjees, an 80 year old Pune icon, (located in the Cantonment Area near MG Road) is the most preferred destination for buying international grocery and food items. They have a nice collection from North America, Europe and the Middle East. Was wondering if you can list any other speciality stores in other parts of Pune that also stock international grocery items. In my experience, the chain retail stores in India don't do a good job of having this inventory. |

In Aundh, The Patio (Sarjaa lane) is a good option for international food - cheeses, breads, jalapenos, olives, etc. |

You may buy international grocery ONLINE (service only for Pune) at:FineFoodsPune.com Very interesting. Has a pretty long list of items... However, no philadelphia cream cheese or maple syrup (http://forpune.com/questions/1/where-can-i-get-maple-syrup-in-pune)

Cool, thanks for finding that Abhijit. I despaired after a search on "Maple" revealed nothing. The product description doesn't say it's maple syrup. Had to zoom into the image of the product to figure that out.

frst flr, adlabs, kalyani has a store. got myself a couple of luncheon meat tins, dr peppers etc from there. nice collection of cheese also. got an update that KP also has such a store now. all these stores source their inventory from a company called chenab impex who import them on request. |

The Providore is a new store in Aundh and stocks a lot of gourmet European, American and Japanese cuisine stuff. Lots of French cheese, cold cuts, salads and cookies etc. Stuff you wont find in other stores and largest range yet. They've got a facebook page too. Thanks Andrew.... Where is 'The Providore' located?

Does anyone know such stores in Kothrud?? I am looking for items like cream cheese, maple syrup, French dressing, vanilla pod, workshire (or however it is spelled) sauce etc... infact i'm having an hard time finding basic stuffs like chocolate chips n unsalted butter n castor sugar in here! its so frustrating that i hav to travell all the way to camp to buy these suff >:-( Besides, the so called international section in stores like spencer's, big bazar n reliance fresh in here are just useless...all you'll find here are stacks of olive oil cans!!! Hence, if anybody knows any place in Kothrud, or even close to it, to buy the above items please let me know. Any suggestions wud be appreciated. thanks |
