I recently bought a truckload of (new) DVDs from Crosswords recently. They had an offer in which if you:

bought 1, you got one free bought 2, got 3 free and so on till if you bought 10, you got 40 free.

I ended up getting 25 discs at an average price of Rs. 200 / disc (Hollywood films - and decent ones at that)

You could check if the offer is still on.

Other than that, unfortunately, I am not sure of a place where you can get used discs though there are a number of options to rent out DVDs (Bigflix, etc)

A very long time ago (10 years+), I had once ventured into Junna Bazar (setup on Wed and Sundays on the Sassoon -> Corporation road) and had bought a couple of original (used) tape cassettes (english / western) for a throw-away price when tape cassettes were still used. I'm guessing you could probably get DVDs now - though not very sure.

If you want to buy a new one, try checking out the big electronics stores (Chroma, Dass, etc.). Many times, they have exchange offers on old TV/Other Home Electronics Models.
