If you're anywhere near Aundh, check out the Bookmark library (opposite Croma, on the "Sarjaa" road. It's not just for kids, but it does have books, toys, board games etc. for kids.

Bookmark is a chain with several libraries in Pune, so you should be able to find one near you.

Aparna, I think this question is too general, and should probably be split along geographical lines, because otherwise, I'm sure you'll find many, many answers.

Anyway, in Aundh, Jungle Book (near Lifeline Hospital) is a great children's library. In addition to regular library services, they also have weekly activity sessions, and workshops in vacations.

British Library on FC Road is amazing. There are tons of books for that age. From the libraries I have been to, BCL is way better.

The Learning Curve in Aundh/Baner is a very good mobile books library for kids. They have all sorts of reference, knowledge and story books for kids and best of all they deliver the books right at your doorstep. You can contact them at thelearningcurve@ymail.com

Lots of focus on Aundh/Baner. Shame that a city of Universities / Colleges has no good libraries.

Just Books clc, a startup based in Bangalore just opened a center in Aundh. Opp. DAV School / Near Subway.

They are a tab expensive - No per-book charge - Only Memberships that comes at 200 / 1000 / 2000 - for 1 mth / 6 mth / 1 yr (Min. 2 books plan) respectively. Min. 3 mth membership and 250/- registration and 1000/- deposit. The good part is that they do have a decent collection - More Fiction than non-fiction.
