I have been looking for a indoor badminton court near aundh, pimpale saudagar area which is not very crowded, Does anyone know of a badminton court which works on pay and play model (hour basis) in aundh area? |

In Aundh courts are available in National Society, Sindh Society & Symphony Club (Baner-Pashan Link Road, near Athashree Society). Those are the ones I know. In National you would need to be accompanied by a National Society resident in order to play there. While in Sindh I am not sure of the rules. Symphony Club has a good wooden court. Both members and non-members can play. WIE Sports complex is also restarting this December. Their bookings are currently ongoing. They are not in Aundh but located near Modern College (near Junglee Maharaj Road). Thank you, do you have any information about the rates or the contact number, web url?

I don't remember the exact rates. But I do remember that Sindh was the cheapest. Earlier they had a cement flooring for their court but now they have a better flooring. Symphony club was outrageously expensive for non-members. So much so that almost 2 years back I played for 1 hr and decided never to look back :). WIE is expensive during peak hours - Rs.200/hr - but non-peak hours should be better. Peak hours are from 6-9am and 6-9pm I think. Not 100% sure about the timings.

Hi Subhojit, thanks for the info. I am settling down in wakad from jul'10. As i am quite regular player (a self proclaimed badminton addict :) i am desparately looking to join some group. If required to take membership, am fine with it as well. Level of game can put as intermediate and would be happy to find some group who can take me in. Thanks in advance. regards, parag |
