Can anyone refer me to a good dentist in the Aundh area that wont make me cringe at the lack of hygiene/ following precautions. My last attempt to see one had me fleeing through the door as I watched the assistant roll up cotton balls (probably to be used in patients mouths??) with his bare hands after sneezing right into them..

Abhijit Kale, who has a clinic in Shirine Garden. I've been to him only once, for a filling, but I liked everything that I saw. Very professional, respectful of patients' time (imagine that!), and tight control over assistants.

Can't comment much on the hygiene, but I noticed nothing to complain about.

Dr.Abhijit Kale is highly recommended. You can try Dr. Shail Jaggi on Dhole Patil road, near Ruby hall. A bit far from aundh though.

Declaration of interest - Both these dentists are my friends and might treat me to a coffee if I refer patients to them.

This one is on Senapati Bapat Marg (not too far from Aundh).

Dr Gauri Vichare. She came with excellent references, and we have been taking my daughter to her, and found her very cordial and just great. She is a little further after Chaturshringi, across the road (I can't recall the name of the residential colony before the Indiabulls mall red light.)

i am not sure if this helps. I go to Dr. Shardul Sontakke, on Law college road, near Nal Stop. It is about 6-7km from Aundh, but i have found him to be a very good doctor, and found the clinic clean :)

I am not sure if how much is the distance between Aundh and Bhandarkar road, but I can vouch for Dr Alok Patel. He is dentist for kids. I travel from kalyaninagar just to make him peek into my kids mouth! He did root canal on my 4 yr old son without anesthesia and in 2 min.! 25675888
