I have a Nintendo Wii DVD that cannot be read anymore due to scratches. Anyplace where I can get the DVD restored?

I am not really aware of a DVD specific scratch removal service, but I guess most data recovery services would be able to help you out there as well.

You could try contacting Stellar Information services located in Camp.

However, I have a quick tip that you can try out. It has worked for me in the past on several occasions.

You can take white toothpaste (the original Colgate kinds) and rub it over the DVD surface completely in a circular motion after which you need to wash the DVD off. The toothpaste helps in filling up some of the scratches -- enough to allow your PC to error correct it.

After this, you should try to extract the ISO onto your machine using a regression DVD extraction tool.

My son used up an entire toothpaste - to no effect. But atleast he got some good fun doing it. I went to Stellar - they have to send the DVD to Gurgaon (no charge) - but I backed out. Still looking...
