I stay in a flat thats close to the road. With time the traffic on the road has increased multifold. The existing windows can't block the noise effectively. I am looking for solutions that would block as much noise as possible. I would appreciate if you could give any pointers towards any shop/specialist in Pune that can provide a solution to the above problem. Also any suggestions about what could be the solutions will also help.

I have same problem at my clinic on karve road. I considered double-glazed windows by Fenesta, but that was too expensive. Finally my carpenter designed window panes with 2 layers of glass with rubber tubbing running between glass panes as well as wood. He put a soft rubber layer between pane and frame as well. Cost me half the money as compared to Fenesta and looks quite okay. Soundproffing is quite good and I can conduct hypnosis sessions with minimum disturbance. Happy to show you around if you wish.

I have received lot of enquiries about my carpenter. Unfortunately, that gentleman has disappeared from scene without a trace. How it is done - instead of normal one glass pane, he put 2 panes both independently surrounded by rubber tubing. he also put soft rubber lining between the pane and main frame of window, effectively shutting out the sound. it works well for me. Good luck.

I have used Veka double pane sliding windows in my house. I live on a busy intersection and the soundproofing is quite good. If shutters (not sliding) are used, the soundproofing gets even better. You can contact Arun @ 9011051169 or 020 4005 3676
