Where can I get good jalebis in pune except for manmeet (F.C. Road)? |

kaka halwai offers some really delicious jalebis (i personally prefer them over Chitale ones) Kaka halwai has outlets at :
They offer desi ghee jalebis on Sunday and major festival days. Mithas at Aundh also has good jalebis but for me, nothing compares kaka halwai. thank you Arati, heeding to ur advice I got some jalebis from Kaka Halwai (Tilak Road) and the taste was good. Not a 100% satisfied but yes for sure I wud rate it in the 90s. thx!

Kadhai, Aundh. Kadhai is the shop in the basement of Ozone, Aundh (i.e. the building that has Pulse). Best time to go there is at 8:15am, when you'll get freshly made jalebis... I think they make fresh Jalebis all day, depending on the demand.

Manmeet offers on demand hot tasty Jalebis. On FC road, near Paduka chowk, next to Chaitanya(famous for Paranthas). Manmeet also has some other interesting stuff for the foodies. A new exclusive Kachori shop has opened nearby recently.

Luckily recently I had the best jalebis in pune (after asking this question here). Le Royale in Hinjewadi was offering Jalebis as desert with rabri as topping. The jalebis were really delicious. Its just that its not a sweet shop so can't go back there whenever you crave for jalebis. |

Chitale (Deccan Gymkhana, Laxmi Road) and Kaka Halwai (Karve Road, Navi Peth) have decent Jalebi. Also do check with them regarding some specific days when they have Jalebis made in 'Sajuk Tup' (Desi Ghee). |

This might be a demand supply dilemna. From good Jalebis, I understand steaming hot direct from the kadhai sweet Jalebis, not the partly khatti Jalebis that we get on usual sweet shops. Have Punekars developed a taste for the khatta version. When I buy Jalebis even at a popular shop like Manmeet,I am the only customer at that particular moment. Maybe because it comes at Rs 22 for 100g while in places like Delhi the price is one fourth. If somebody is brave enough to invest in a Kadhai and a licensed Thela, good Jalebis might be a risk worth taking. All the more so because of the increasing number of people from hot Jalebi eating parts of the country.

I agree, seems like people have developed a taste for khatta version. But I mean that too aren't good always. Nd I am not sure how much that risk wud yield coz people who have got habituated to khatta version might not come back to original taste :)
