Hi, I am trying my hands on making long island iced tea, I think I'll get all other ingredients but not sure about triple sec ( http://www.drinksmixer.com/desc81.html ) does any one have an idea where would I get a bottle from? Happy new year :) For anyone interested in long island iced tea tutorial, here is a youtube video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5iuOmKLAKw |

Try in the wine shop in Dorabjees complex (Moledina Road Camp). You should at least get Cointreau. Otherwise look for Cointreau in Ruksun wines on the same road or Maharaja Wines in Model Colony (near Deep Bungalow Chowk). +1 for the wine shop in Dorabjees complex. The last time I tried to make Long Island Iced Tea, I did manage to buy Triple Sec from there. However, my LIT did not really turn out well, so if you do manage to succeed, @Dipen, please invite me... :-)

When you make the sour mix, use greenish lemons and greenish mosambis. Also, use softer cola - like Pepsi instead of ThumsUp or Coke. This should make it more "smoother".

@Navin Mine was more like patiala ice tea, it knocked off people pretty soon but not enough to pass them out. I am learning, I did try my hands on making cosmopolitan which was better but no sparks after my PIT show :) Will let you know the next time I try my hands on cocktails again, I come from a college where drinking alchohol neat was not a dare but the only option, so my taste buds are not really very french :). Having said that, I liked my patiala ice tea :) You have been forewarned.
