Name of the place, what kind of stuff they offer, how late is it open, pricing etc. Edit: Late night is 1 a.m. or later :-) |

For Midnite coffee, you can visit the Aqua at Aurora Towers MG road. |

Blue Diamond Cafe is a great place. I do wonder if there are any other places near Model Colony / Aundh? |

Like Blue Diamond, I think most 5 Star Coffee Shops should be open 24 hours. But they are not exactly cheap! The 12 mid-night rule for most other restaurants and eating places constraint them. Like Pune Station, you can try the Shivajinagar Bus Stand/Station area as well. 5 stars are an option, but the limited menu is a problem more than the price. Are there any places where you can get a proper meal? In Hyderabad, for example, there were atleast a couple of places which offered "midnight buffet", which started at, well, midnight and continued well into the night. I don't know what kind of permit they had, but they served even drinks till 2 a.m. atleast. And it was a very good restaurant, not a no-name place :-)

The Blue Diamon Coffee Shop (that Dhananjay has mentioned above..) has a decent multi-cuising menu. You can get Sandwiches/North Indian/Italian/Continental choices. They also have a few Maharashtrian and South Indian items. I really liked their Kheema Pav :)

Had a time to forget at the Taj Blue Diamond Saturday night. We walked in a little bit past midnight and from the time we came in from main entrance till the time we got the check, it was as un-Taj like experience as I've had. The "secret" passage that takes you to the Coffee shop is far from the "Grandeur" you associate with a Taj property, the bad-bad service, the stale Pasta that we ended up returning, the eternity it took for them to get the check.. I could go on and on.

Tapris outside Shivaji nagar station. Typical egg-bhurji, chai, vada-pav |

Jashn (formerly Asif Bhai ka Adda) on Salunke Vihar Road. Enter from Kondhwa road. Delicious Lebenese and Indian. Hukka and Pool also available. |

You can try for the amazing paneer puffs, paneer rolls, chicken puffs, chicken rolls and pastries at the bakeries opposite Pune Railway station. I would suggest Viceroy or Prince. Try rolls. They are cheap, delicious as well as capable of fulfilling the late night hunger pangs. At least in my case, they did. :) |
