what do you think about the Faaso's restaurants? there are about 7-8 of them i think? are they any good? what particularly is good about them? |

I did try Faaso's a few times couple of years back. Distinctly remember their food to be on the oilier side. Though I also remember that their food was not bad to taste. Beyond that don't remember anything from Faaso's that is worth mentioning or talking about. I think they have some snack items too like wraps etc. Agree with everything in this answer...

Ok. This is Jaydeep, and I am indeed the Founder and CEO of Faaso's. Thought, it would be good to let people know the story of Faaso's in some length. A friend of mine and I had started Faaso's as a part time venture in 2003, while continuing in our erstwhile jobs. Both of us left for INSEAD, France for our MBA in 2005 and subsequently I moved to London to work as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Co. In the meanwhile, the business was run by a couple of people, who had joined us when Faaso's was established. Faaso's grew to about 6 outlets over the years as a result of hardwork of these two gentlemen, who by the way remain in the company as shareholding partners and full time directors After about 4.5 years at Mck, the entrepreneurial bug bit me again and I started looking for opportunities in India. Faaso's was my baby, so obviously it was on my mind as one of the options. So I wanted to ask folks what they thought about Faaso's. The result was, as you can see above, devastating to someone who gave birth to it in the first place. I took a one year sabbatical from McKinsey and came back to India middle of last year to turn Faaso's around. It took us 6 months to correct many things (including the ones some of you mentioned above), but by Nov-dec, 2010 I was convinced that Faaso's, if nurtured carefully has immense potential, potential to become the first Indian fast food brand to make it very big, may be 1000 outlets nation-wide. So, at the end of Dec 2010, I have left Mckinsey officially and am now full time presiding over the organisation that Faaso's is. Every company goes through thick and thin, ups and downs, and in its 8 year old history, Faaso's was no different. But, I think we have turned a corner. Now if you look at recent feedbacks across facebook, twitter, internet, its overwhelmingly positive (though the negative ones from yore still raise their ugly heads at times), we have grown from 6 outlets to 14 within a span of a year, entered the big bad world of Mumbai quite successfully and are all set to establish 15 more outlets this financial year. I am sure, there is always room for improvement and I dont claim that Faaso's has attained its best. In fact, we have a long long way to go to establish ourselves as an admired nationwide brand. But, I think we have undertaken a journey in the right direction. With your support and constructive feedback, we can make it big - I have no doubt about it. Please drop me a note at jaydeep@faasos.com if you have any concerns, questions etc. |

Baner outlet was found to be very unhygienic by many and there were reported cases of food poisoning too. I have tried at couple of other ones, Hinjewadi outlet is ok. The food is not something to relish. Oily as Subhojit mentioned is true. Can try sometimes when in rush. |

As a dedicated customer of Faasos , I find no flaws . Best customer service ( tweet-2-order funda ) , fastest deliveries ( 15-20 minutes only ; this is something really crazy :) ) and quality wraps . The only small grudge which I in personal used to have was the high oil content . But whenever I asked the outlets they did it perfectly for me . Hope so that I find a Faasos outlet every where I go in India . |

Hi Jaydeep, I recently tried Faasos's and Im in love with the wraps. They are tasty and I have never fallen ill eating from there. I have tried two outlets - one at Khar (my previous company) and now in Oshiwara (my current company). My colleagues love it as well. It is filling and the best part there's a wrap for every budget. I also have noticed new additions to the menu and I hope you continue to delight us with more additions. Reading previous comments I can definitely tell Faasos's has come a long way and has tremendously progressed. I can vouch for Faasos's any day. But ya the oil content needs to be lesser. All the best Jaydeep and would request you to open an outlet in Borivali (my home) as I wanna order for my parents and brother too :-). |

Dude, Jaydeep, please don't change the question completely after people have answered it!!! I had to revert the question, and then I had to delete @nik's long answer to your tea question. Please don't do such things again. (Sorry @nik)
I also wonder if you're the same Jaydeep (http://uk.linkedin.com/in/jaydeepbarman) who's the Founder/CEO of Faasos. I'm sorry that you did not like any of the answers here, but they have to stay. And no, you can't make the question "go away" by changing it to something else that has nothing to do with Faasos.
@Navin, I get your points above
:-). Fine with the delete.
