I find that my users page does not remember the sorting order I selected the last time around.
This is not the case for other Stackoverflow sites.

Is this some local bug? Can we get this fixed?

Reproduction sequence:

  1. Login to forpune.com
  2. click on your user name near the top (next to your reputation score)
  3. scroll down to the 'Answers' section and select one of recent, views, newest
    • the default is votes
  4. you will find the Answers have been re-sorted by that selection
  5. click on the 'Questions' link near the top
  6. on the Questions page, click again on your user name (as in step 2)
    • now recheck the sorting order -- its back to votes.

If you have one of the Stackoverflow logins, verify this.

@Nik,

  1. This appears to be a known problem (check http://meta.stackexchange.com). I guess it will get fixed one of these days.
  2. StackOverflow is different from all other stackexchange sites. It's a different (the original) codebase. All new features first get implemented on StackOverflow, and might or might not migrate to stackexchange over time.

@Navin, I see what you mean. The meta at SE is not behaving like SO and other sites run by them -- which is what I am more used to.
