Is there any shop/organization in Pune, which collect old engineering books from your place and gives a decent price for the books.

I don't know about home pick ups but surely Engineering Books can be sold & you get 40-60% price for that. You can try Pragati Book Store in ABC (Appa Balvant Chowk), there are many book stored which do this & can ask in ABC.

This will not work for many Computer Books (The syllabus keeps changing: is the reason they give), for all other branches they take books.

I think some of the shops at the Appa Balwant Chowk (referred earlier in this answer) used to have offers for returning old engineering books. Don't know if that still works.
But, I never heard of them supporting home pickups :-)

As an alternative, your college library would also take them to pass on...

What MIS means?

This is not very reliable, but if you have the patience, it can give you great results!

Try the large 'Raddi Depots'. There are quite a few Appa Balwant Chowk, FC Road and one in Model Colony (Deep Bangla Chowk)..

They often have many used engineering/medical and books from other disciplines. But you will have to hunt for them and bargain a little.
