Hi, there is 'Kalyani Veg' restaurant. Its not fine dining, more your usual udipi + punjabi + chinese type of a place. they do hv an aircon section & is good for a quick bite. There's also 'rajdhani' thali in Mariplex mall. There are other restaurants where you do get good veg. stuff but the places are not pure veg. in preparation. cheers, aparna.

+1 for Kalyani Veg. Might not seem like much but the food there is awesome.

Be ready to wait a while though - there is usually a huge waiting line at dinner and lunch time.

Agree completely. To add, the place is open on its 2 sides, and is on corner of a busy junction. So I'd expected it to be dirty, and not that hygienic. I was surprised to see that it was clean and quite hygienic. Regarding the waiting lines, I've been there many times during lunch/dinner peak times. And as mentioned the waiting list is long, but they tend to get accommodated fast... the max I recall wtg is no more than 15 mins which I believe is quite reasonable.

+1 for Squisito. The food and ambiance are excellent. Touch on the more expensive side though.

I can recommend many good ones in the Deccan Gymkhana area! In the Koregaon Park area, I can think of the Little Italy La Pizzerria (haven't been to the KP location, but like their Ganeshkind Rd location...I guess they have the same menu).

Just to clarify, Little Italy is on Bund Garden Road opposite Pune Central mall. I guess that is close enough to KP. The food in their two locations is identical. I highly recommend it. But be warned, it's a little pricey.

Madhuban on Dhole Patil Road has been there for ever. Food is as good as it gets for Udipi / North Indian joints (same management as Kalyani Veg) and service is quick.

They serve a decent Chole Bature and your usual Dosas and Indian vegetables.

+1 for this. I have been here for couple of times. One bad experience but otherwise it has been okay. Service has been always quick.

There is a restaurant named Amrapali that is Veg and serves Indian Food on F.C. Road. I think it is just behind Roopali. Food quality is excellent.

I have found the Pune Cafe on M.G. Road as the best place for veg food. The Paneer 65 dish they serve is too good.
