As we all know and many of us realize the need/responsibility of blood donation. Are there some good (hygienic,easily reachable, non-time consuming) blood donation centers where we can take an appointment and go for the same. Or any regular blood donation camps around the city that take place? |

Also you can try www.friends2support.org, they have online registration also presence in Pune. In this manner blood will go to the needy. I have donated seven to eight times at different locations, I was told by one blood bank, since my group is a rare group not to donate in blood banks and blood donation camps. This was few years back as some group of bloods are not utilized if they are not needed immediately and goes waste. Now a days they convert into various blood products, hence preserve it longer. Otherwise it is advisable to donate only when needed. regards, Nagesh |

May be worth a try in checking http://www.indianblooddonors.com runs in which you can get registered as a donor and get an SMS when there is a need. Do update the thread with your experience.
