Is there a recognized Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre in Pune or does one still have to go over to Mumbai for the vaccination? Found some listings on justdial and I will be calling them up tomorrow. However these look like chemists who stock the vaccine but would not be in a position to issue the necessary certificate for travel to Africa (Kenya). Had called up Sasoon hospital but they pointed to Mumbai. Thanks, Harshad |

Doubt it. Knew some people from Pune who travelled to Kenya 2 years back - they had to head to Mumbai to get the vaccination. Thanks Amit. Traveling to Mumbai for a vaccine seems like too much trouble, but I guess there's no choice. The vaccine it seems also needs to be taken 10+ days before the flight

An update on the yellow fever vaccination. Found no center in Pune that could vaccinate & provide the necessary WHO certificate. The vaccine is available in Pune and any hospital will administer it. The issue is with the WHO standard certificate. You need the certificate to avoid being quarantined when you get back to India from Kenya. The vaccination center at Mumbai Sahar airport is in very bad state, tiny entrance & waiting room, has a strange practice of a board put up every evening where you list your name. If you don't make it to the list, you waste a day. Corruption is also a problem. However it is told that the vaccination center in South Mumbai is even worse. |

If one wants a certificate to enclose with travel documents (after vaccination) then the one should go to Mumbai International Airport. Else some hospitals in Pune do provide the vaccination. |

Shraddha Hospital - Pune Aundh review Doctor is a cheater. Please do not go to him. He will charge you very high saying that you have skin disease even if you are fit. I had gone to him for yellow fewer vaccination. He charged me Rs 9000 whereas it is charged only Rs 2000 else where and black-mailed me that he wont give me certificate if I do not pay. As I needed the certificate for visa purpose, I had no other option than to pay him the money. Mr doctor, How do you sleep well after cheating people in such a honorable profession? Remember.. god is watching..! |

Doctor at Shradha Hospital is a Bloody Cheat. He charged me too with an exorbitant sum of Rs 8500 and diagonised me with skin infections and other ailments in the proces which I am 100% sure is non-existent. He is a cheat and I am sure he is not an allopathy doctor but some Baba Bangali who is giving intra-venous injections without valid license permit to do the same. He should be put behind bars for fleecing people. Also the certificate he provides is not as per WHO standards. |

The doctor at Shradha Hospital is a bloody cheat, when i had inquired on the phone, i was told the charges would be Rs. 3,500 for the yellow fever vaciine and when i completed taking the vaccine, i was handed a bill of Rs. 8,800. He charges whatever comes to his mind and Rs. 2,500 as medical check up charges apart from charging for BP check, Sugar check and what not. He is a bloody cheat and any one visiting him please confirm the charges before taking the vaccine and decide the amount. |
