This might be a demand supply dilemna. From good Jalebis, I understand steaming hot direct from the kadhai sweet Jalebis, not the partly khatti Jalebis that we get on usual sweet shops. Have Punekars developed a taste for the khatta version. When I buy Jalebis even at a popular shop like Manmeet,I am the only customer at that particular moment. Maybe because it comes at Rs 22 for 100g while in places like Delhi the price is one fourth. If somebody is brave enough to invest in a Kadhai and a licensed Thela, good Jalebis might be a risk worth taking. All the more so because of the increasing number of people from hot Jalebi eating parts of the country.
